Duxbury Free Library

"Library supportive entrepreneurs community learning "

Provides learning and recreational opportunities for all ages in a legacy building, re-purposed 1929 Georgian high school opened as 40,000 square foot public library on campus setting.

Mission of the Duxbury Free Library: provides a welcoming environment where people of all ages can pursue individual and shared interests. The library offers current topics and titles to help fulfill community residents' appetite for information about popular culture and social trends. It provides resources and education to find, evaluate and use information.
In November, 1997, the library tripled its space in a handsome old school building in the same campus setting, completely rebuilt into an open, airy, facility. The library's new location, in a commanding position on a hill overlooking most of these other buildings, emphasizes the library's importance and role in helping to fulfill all the above needs.
The Library has served the public, adapting to changing needs and endeavoring to offer the best services, for over 120 years.
