
Holly Days began five years ago in the winter of 2004 as the brainchild of DBA President Anne Antonellis of Duxbury Mortgage Services as a way to showcase Duxbury businesses, inspire residents to shop locally and to gather the community together in the holiday spirit. Volunteers from the Duxbury Business Association begin planning in the hot summer months for this now beloved winter tradition that begins with the festive clang of the trolley bell and ends with the joyous lighting of the Christmas Tree and arrival of Santa on the Town Green. The mission of the Duxbury Business Association is to partner with the community, to help local businesses succeed and flourish by enhancing and publicizing the image, heritage and lifestyle of Duxbury. Holly Days epitomizes the mission of the Duxbury Business Association; local businesses and organizations open their doors to shoppers, entertainers, and holiday fun each year. The DBA is proud to present a day full of fun, laughter, music and joy while providing the opportunity for our local businesses to shine.
As you travel from one business district to another aboard the Holly Days trolley, be sure to visit as many businesses as possible to receive a holiday greeting and retail inspiration for your holiday and year round shopping. DBA businesses are committed to providing excellent customer service, high quality products and a sense of community.
